Scuba PADI Open Water Diving Adventure Program

RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR SCUBA PADI ADVENTURE

If you have always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures, and see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this three-part program will guide Scouts as they work towards earning their PADI Open Water Dive certification. Scouts will have a lot of fun and will never forget their first time breathing underwater.

From their first dive to becoming PADI Open Water certified divers, the skilled professionals and certified dive instructors at West Shore Scuba are there to assist participants in achieving their diving goals. West Shore Scuba is a PADI 5-Star IDC (Instructor Development Center) that provides hands-on supervision as they teach participants about the proper use of scuba equipment, various dive skills, and the safety procedures necessary to explore the underwater world.

During the week, participants will make at least five pool dives and four dives at a local open-water dive site. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will have earned their PADI Open Water Dive certification and will be ready to experience all that scuba has to offer as they explore the underwater world.

NOTE: All participants must be able to pass the BSA Swimmer test, no exceptions.

Scouts will NOT complete all of the requirements to earn the BSA Scuba Diving merit badge.

Based out of Camp Sinoquipe, Scouts will travel daily (Monday - Wednesday) to the West Shore Scuba training facility for the confined water pool training portion of the course and (Thursday - Friday) to a quarry in Williamsburg PA for the open water checkout dive portion of the training and certification program.

Each participant will receive as part of the program their own personal scuba equipment including mask, booties, fins, snorkel, safety equipment, logbook, and dive gear pack, which they will get to take home with them at the end of the course.

PREREQUISITE - All participants must complete the online E-Learning coursework BEFORE they arrive at camp.

Once registered and PAID IN FULL, participants will receive via email a code to access the online E-Learning coursework.

There are additional participant waiver and diver medical questionnaire forms that must be completed and submitted before arrival at camp. In some instances, approval from a doctor may be required before they participate in the program. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS REVIEW AND COMPLETE THESE FORMS AT LEAST 30 DAYS before THEIR ARRIVAL AT CAMP. Forms are available for download below.
