Choose between the following options: Day Camp, Half Week - 4 day/3 night (Sunday - Wednesday) or Full Week - 7day/6 night (Sunday - Saturday) sessions

The Day Camp option is a great introduction to Summer Camp for those Scouts that are not quite ready to stay overnight camping in a tent. 

Here is a brief overview of some of the activities available while at CRE Summer camp for Cub Scouts.

Camp Rock Enon has 14 campsites within a short walking distance to all program areas and services with a maximum capacity of 325 Scouts and Scouters per week/session.  Each site is equipped with two-person tents on raised platforms. Some sites also have Adirondack (three sided) shelters that sleep up to 4 people or cabins that sleep up to 20 people. All campsites include sleeping cots, a shelter, picnic tables, latrine with wash station and potable water, flag pole, bulletin board and campfire circle. Within main camp you will find flush toilets and a shower house with hot water available all day and night. Program areas include Aquatics, Outdoor Skills, Nature, Handicraft, Climbing and Range & Target Sports. The dining hall provides meal service for all campers serving a variety of kid and adult friendly meals reviewed and approved by a certified nutritionist. Special dietary menus are available for a variety needs including gluten free, pork free and vegetarian. 

Tiger, Wolf & Bear

Scouts can work on several rank specific “Adventures” plus go swimming, shoot bb’s arrows and sling shots, climb our rock wall, visit the nature conservation area, go fishing, learn basic outdoor and first aid skills, make a craft or play some Cub Scout games.

Webelos and Arrow of Light

Scouts will choose which “Adventures” they want to work on to help develop the skills needed as they advance towards Scouts BSA. They can also go swimming, shoot pellets, arrows and sling shots, climb our rock wall, visit the nature conservation area, go fishing, learn outdoor and first aid Scout skills, make a craft or play some Scout games. Mid-week all Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will spend the day exploring the back woods of Camp Rock Enon, learning and testing new outdoor skills as part of the mid-week program and optional outpost camp sleeping under the stars. 

Camp Rock Enon is owned and operated by the Shenandoah Area Council, BSA. It is administered by a full-time Facility Management team, trained and certified by the National Camping School of the Boy Scouts of America. The camp is inspected annually by the Virginia Department of Health and internally through the National Camp Accreditation Program. It is consistently rated as a Nationally Accredited Boy Scouts of America Camp.


Reserve your space for 2026 by selecting a session below!

Register now and pay a $100 deposit to hold a "SPACE" for your Pack. We also recommend you estimate and reserve the number of "SPOTS" for adults and scouts you think you will need for next summer before they run out. We limit the number of Packs and SPOTS available to manage the total number of participants in camp for each session. Since the sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, once a session reaches maximum capacity, Packs will not be able to add more SPOTS to their reservations.

  • April 7 - Paid in Full (scout) to access sign up for Adventure classes beginning 4/12
  • April 12 - Adventures class sign up opens @ 12 noon
  • April 15 - @ 11:59 pm is the last chance to drop any "SPOTS" without paying any penalties
  • April 16 - 50% Refund policy begins
  • May 5 - online Zoom orientation - Summer Camp Preparations
  • May 15 - @ 11:59 pm is the last chance to drop any "SPOTS" before NO REFUNDS begin
  • May 15 - @ 11:59 pm Camp Swag Pre-orders due
  • May 16 - $25 LATE FEE BEGINS - any spots not paid in full by 5/15/26 @ 11:59 pm
  • May 16 - NO REFUNDS refer to refund policy

Payments can be made online with a credit/debit card or EFT (fees apply) or by mailing a check payable to the Shenandoah Area Council at 107 Youth Development Court, Winchester, VA 22602. Include  Pack #, camp, and session on the check.

Applies to all Long-Term Summer Resident Camp Programs hosted by the Shenandoah Area Council unless otherwise stated.

This Refund Policy applies to all Long-Term Summer Resident Camps hosted by the Shenandoah Area Council, Inc., unless otherwise stated. This includes summer camps at Camp Rock Enon, Camp Sinoquipe, and our Cyberquipe Virtual Summer Camp. This does not apply to National High Adventure programs.

The Shenandoah Area Council strives to provide the best program and camping experience. We sign contracts with staff and vendors based on confirmed reservations. Cancellations after May 1st undermine our ability to provide a quality Summer Camp program.

Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Pro-Rated Refund Schedule:

  • On or before APRIL 15th - full refund of any funds paid will be issued (less any bank convenience fees and a processing fee)
  • Beginning APRIL 16th - Partial refund up to 50% of the total fees will be issued (less bank convenience fees and a processing fee)
  • Beginning May 16th - NO REFUNDS will be issued, with the following few specific exemptions:
    • 50% refund of funds paid may be issued in the event of the death of an immediate family member, sickness, injury, or summer school requirement (verification from a physician or another official required).

NOTES:

  • All refund requests are to be submitted using the online refund request form located at the bottom of this webpage
  • Credit and Debit card bank convenience fees are not refundable.
  • Fees may be applied to another individual attending the same event, camp, or activity if arranged before the event.
  • Fees cannot be rolled over to a future event or activity.
  • Requests made more than 7 days after the end of the summer camp session will NOT be considered.
  • Refunds for medical and other unforeseen circumstances are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may require additional documentation.
  • Refund checks are typically issued to the entity paying the original fees as indicated on the SAC Tentaroo account profile.
  • Unit leadership is responsible for conveying the refund policy to the participants and their parents or legal guardians.

The Shenandoah Area Council now operates two camps, Rock Enon and Sinoquipe

  • Sinoquipe Scout Reservation, located in Fort Littleton, Pennsylvania, hosts our Scouts BSA summer camp program offering a traditional merit badge program and summer camp experience for youth 11-17 years old.
  • Camp Rock Enon Scout Reservation, located west of Winchester, Virginia, is the base-camp for our Adventure and Specialty programs for Scouts BSA and Venturing youth age 13+ and our Cub Scout summer camp program for youth age 6-10 years old.

Scouts BSA troops attending summer camp at Sinoquipe that have Scouts or adults interested in reserving a space for one of the Adventure or Specialty programs based out of Rock Enon will register with their Troop through the reservation at Sinoquipe.

Scouts BSA troops interested in only attending one of the Adventure or Specialty programs based out of Rock Enon will register through the Sinoquipe reservation system.

Scouts interested in attending one of the Adventure or Specialty programs based out of Rock Enon may register to attend as a Provisional Scout or with leadership from their Troop.

Participants can be transported directly to Rock Enon, or transportation will be provided from Sinoquipe on Sunday to Rock Enon and back to Sinoquipe on Saturday.

Camp Rock Enon and Camp Sinoquipe are owned and operated by the Shenandoah Area Council, BSA. Any Shenandoah Area Council Cub Scout Pack that has not attended a Shenandoah Area Council summer camp in the past three years will receive a $25 discount per youth when they sign up for Rock Enon summer camp in 2026.

This discount only applies to Shenandoah Area Council Cub Scout Packs.

A $25 discount will be automatically applied to each registered youth by the Council.

Refer another Cub Scout Pack from your council and receive a $25 discount per youth when they register to attend Camp Rock Enon in 2026.

This discount only applies to Out of Council Cub Scout Packs that attended Camp Rock Enon in 2025.

Complete this REFERRAL FORM. We will contact the pack to invite them to check out our summer camp programs. If they register to attend Camp Rock Enon in 2026, we will apply a $25 discount to each youth registered in your pack who is coming to Rock Enon in 2026.
